Everyday potential new clients contact us to create and manage their social media strategy. After a quick introduction and a few questions, we always find that the client is excited and ready to create and implement their
strategy. However, in almost every instance one major stumbling block we encounter is the lack of content.
Why you need content
Social media networks allows you to grab your target audiences’ attention, create conversations and to ultimately have them to ‘buy’ from you. Content is a very important factor in that process. Grab your target audience’s attention with good relevant content that they can:

How does content help
During our Social Media Lunch & Learn workshops we put on at Digital Relay , we like to bring up real world examples of companies successfully using social media. One example we often use is Martel Home Builders ( www.themartellexperience.com ).
Martel Home Builders (located in Canada) started off their social media strategy using RELEVANT information to attract their desired target audience. Content such as a free PDF reports filled with catered information to those they were trying to reach made it a success. If someone was thinking of building a new home, would a document titled “9 questions you should ask before you build” entice them to sign-up for their newsletter? – YES!

You are probably asking, How can I get good content? We do recommend to CREATE it. You can start writing some of your content yourself or hire a freelancer to do it for you. Remember to always share good industry news with your audience but back up your leadership in your industry with good content created by YOU and YOUR BUSINESS!
